Your child’s growing years are a time of learning. Children are naturally curious, and as a parent, you’ll probably remember parts of your own childhood where you explored everywhere you visited, and touched everything in sight. As your child begins to develop and grow, it is important to set the foundations of learning and brain development.

Children learn best when they feel the best. When encouraging your child to learn, you have to first set the tone and environment for learning. Ensure that your child is comfortable and happy enough to take in stimuli from their environment. It’s easy to depend on the latest gadgets and toys when trying to encourage your child to learn. However, this may result in too much stimulation, which may lead to stress.

As for teaching your child, there are a few ways you have your child develop interest. One of the simplest ways is to simply do fun things together. Singing, talking, walking and even listening will help develop your child’s mind. Talking and singing may even help teach your child the basics of language. Children learn best through repetition and practice; make time to help them practice their acquired skills, like reading some of the same books again. If your child is ready, take it to the next level by increasing the difficulty; you may want to have books with slightly more words. Reading is important for your child’s brain development.

Food plays an important role in supporting the growth and development in your child. A rapidly growing body, and brain, will need proper nutrition in balanced portions. For example, DHA and ARA are unsaturated fatty acids that are found commonly in the brain. When your child has a healthy body, he or she will not have the distractions of sick days which will disrupt learning.

Nutritious milk can provide important nutrients such as calcium and protein. Your child can try LACTOGROW® PROBIO 3, a formulated milk powder developed for children aged 1 to 3 years old. It contains more calcium, 13 vitamins and minerals, and DHA to help support your child’s optimum growth!

Children learn best when they’re happy, and nothing can bring more joy than being with a loved one. That’s why your role as a parent is the most important of all in supporting your child’s growth and brain development.
